What is your vision for the Inverell region?
I want Inverell to be a progressive and prosperous council leading to improved quality of lifestyle for all our residents.
What do you think is the single most important issue facing the Inverell area?
Loss of services including healthcare, transport and education.
What projects/developments do you intend to advocate for if elected as a councillor?
I believe in assessing any project/development on merit taking into consideration the benefits, costs, sustainability and any impact it may have on residents and environment. I support employment opportunities, especially for our young people. I also recognise the importance of maintaining and improving facilities in our smaller communities.
What expertise or attributes do you have which would help you in undertaking the role of councillor?
I have a broad range of skills and experience which I believe will give me a balanced approach as a councillor.
I was a small business owner for 12 years and then managed the Inverell Art Gallery for 10 years. I have first hand experience of the many challenges facing farmers in our area and I've supported local healthcare as a director of Operation: Operating Room Ltd for the past 11 years.
I've been married to Peter for 35 years, we have four adult daughters and a growing tribe of grandchildren.
