Premier Dominic Perrottet said six would be supported fully, and the remaining 22 in principle.
KEY RECOMMENDATIONS:
* Reshaping Resilience NSW to Recovery NSW to ensure a more streamlined agency focused on the first 100 days after a disaster.
* Migration off high-risk floodplains over time using a mixture of planning controls, landswaps, buy-backs and leveraging private investment in new developments.
* A dedicated Task Force Hawk to ensure emergency management is embedded at the highest level of the NSW government.
* Establishing a NSW Reconstruction Authority, with legislation to be introduced by the end of the year.
* Creation of a full-time deputy police commissioner focused on emergency management.
* Training for the community to assist with their ability to respond and recover from disasters, as well as greater training and support for the SES.
* Greater emphasis on affordable housing in the Northern Rivers, with adaptation plans for towns also to be developed over the next 3 to 5 years.
* A back office merger of the State Emergency Service and Rural Fire Service
