Club president Jon Watts said he was pleased with the blue sky.
“The weather was perfect which was a blessing for us as our carnivals are usually washed out,” Watts said.
Highlights of this year’s carnival included the Fencing Northwest TAB Carnival Of Cups Race, which was taken out by Tamworth horse Gotta Feeling, driven by Anthony Varga.
Dean Chapple of Moombi also drove four winners on the day.
Something a little special on the day was the presentation of the Kato Cup to the club by local Debbie Berger.
Berger’s late father won the Kato Cup in 1975 with his horse Hugh McInney, and Brian Baldwin accepted it on behalf of the club. Baldwin said the club was honoured to receive the cup, and it would be the perpetual trophy for the Carnival of Cups each year.
Watts said there were many people to thank for the smooth running of the day.
“I would like to thank all those who attended, our sponsors and the volunteers. Without the support of all these people we could not enjoy a great day out with Inverell Harness Racing Club.”
