A GREAT day of bowls was played at the RSM Women’s Bowling Club on their President’s Day, with teams coming in from Guyra, Delungra, Tingha, Cropper Creek, Warialda, East Gwydir and Inverell Women’s Bowling Club.

Vice-president Nancy Winmill welcomed everyone and commenced the day’s bowls with a spider, which was won by Lorna Ogilvie.
“There was a lot of laughter on the green and everyone was enjoying themselves,” Winmill said.
At lunch time Winmill thanked all the ladies for making the day such a success and donating all the prizes.
Before presenting the winning prizes East Gwydir president, Ann Barry, presented Elizabeth Rolfe with her veteran’s badge.
Winners on the day were: Bertha Reeves (Guyra) and Monty Eshman (RSM) who filled in at the last minute. The runners-up were Jan Anderson, Lynn Shaw, June Harrison and Marie Watting.
