Monday, July 6
Tingha
10.30am: Assemble for street march at Tingha post office
11am: NAIDOC march to Anaiwan LALC. Welcome to Country, flag raising and speeches. Following ceremony, walk up to Tingha Sports and Rec Grounds for a morning tea/brunch celebration.
Ashford
9am: Free local Aboriginal sites tour begins by visiting the Rock Art at Graman and will be followed by lunch at Wells Crossing. Bus leaves Ashford LALC at 9am. Phone Ashford LALC for Ashford LALC at 9am. Phone Ashford LALC for more info 6725 4411.
Wednesday, July 8
Ashford
9.30am: March from the Ashford LALC to the Ashford Oval. Celebrations include the Ashford vs NSW Police touch footy match, Rod McIntosh art workshop, cupcake and johnny cake making, face painting, balloon animals, and barbecue with some traditional foods such as emu, crocodile and kangaroo, steak and sausages.
Inverell
10am: Linking Together Centre hosting a Family Fun Sports Day and the IFYSS Basketball Competition. Face painting, BBQ, jumping castle, painting workshop, T-shirt Screen-printing workshop and league tag competition.
Thursday, July 9
Danthonia Community
11am: Bus leaves Linking Together Centre for the Danthonia Elders Fellowship Lunch. Phone Linking Together Centre, 6722 3444 for transport to bus. Tingha residents, phone Anaiwan LALC 6723 3022 for transport to lunch.
11.30am: Danthonia Elders Fellowship Lunch. Anyone and all ages involved with NAIDOC is welcome to attend.
Friday, July 10
Inverell
10.30am: March assembly in Campbell Park
11am: March to Victoria Park
11.30am: NAIDOC Week celebration: smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country and Flag raising by local children. Aboriginal dance performance. Annual NAIDOC Awards ceremony.
12.30pm: Lunch is served with barbecue, stalls of local services and vendors, band The Jones Boys all afternoon, plenty of children's art activities and games. To book a stall, phone Lyn Lackay on 0413 548 954. In case of bad weather, event is moved to Flanders House.
