For a while now an eyebrow or two was raised here and there by On the Pulse at some of the photos coming in of the Member for Northern Tablelands, Adam Marshall.
He seems to be near roads a lot these days, and it all seemed to start in the lead-up to the great Bathurst race, around the time he visited the Inverell Mower Racing Club where they let him loose on one of their fastest models.
Since then, it seems, he’s turned up on roads everywhere, and it’s not just on a ‘road or two’, it’s a case of ‘any road’ll do’!
Roads, bridges, paddocks near roads and footpaths near streets, you name it. Oh, he’ll say it’s because his government spends so much on roads these days, but that didn’t prevent On the Pulse’s eyebrows shooting skywards at the following photo .
He’s only five kilometres out of Glen Innes.
Seemingly, he’s taking a rest on his way to Inverell, and he’s down low; low enough to get a good whiff of that sticky, pungent, speedy tar, if you know what we mean.
Could it be a tar addiction relapse?
On the Pulse sincerely hopes not. Far better for him to just be habitually lost and awaiting directions, just like the rest of us.
You can assist to fight world hunger
Food—the other four-letter word beginning with F heard often in newsrooms close to deadline.
It’s the word on everyone’s tongue today (pun intended) as the New England bands together to fight hunger.
Far more than a case of the grumbly-tumbly, hunger is the forgotten global epidemic affecting 65,000 Australians, half of whom are children.
These troubling statistics need to change and this year, Glad have answered the call.
The folks who brought us the wonders of Glad Wrap and those nifty zippy bags that keep your sandwich nice have pledged $1 for every foodie photo posted on social media today, all towards ending world hunger.
The deal is simple: employ your insta-tastic photo skills and post a snap of your lunch on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the #gladtoshare and #newengland.
Throw on a classy black-and-white filter and tell your friends to do the same. Every shot is worth one more dollar towards the cause.
Between breakfast, morning tea, pre-lunch coffee break, pre-lunch, lunch, 2pm breather, afternoon tea, dinner and dessert, Pulse is feeling pretty confident raising funds, but we need your help.
Tag Times HQ (@inverelltimes) in your snack-pics on Twitter and Instagram and we’ll follow the best ones.
