This scope covers a broad range of industries including animal studies, business, childcare, horticulture, hospitality and many, many more.
This program applies to any Smart and Skilled course that is offered at the Inverell campus.
The Smart and Skilled Targeted Priorities Prevocational and Part Qualifications program is a NSW government initiative which focuses on training to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.
TAFE New England Institute Director, Peter Heilbuth, said “This is a wonderful initiative and TAFE New England is excited to be able to offer part-qualifications to students, for free.”
“In most cases, the part-qualifications can also count towards a full qualification that is listed on the NSW Skills List,” Mr Heilbuth said.
Priority groups for the program include long term unemployed, students living in rural or remote areas, school leavers and retrenched workers or workers at risk of retrenchment.
Anyone who would like to access this training can visit the campus, visit www.tne.edu.au, or call 1800 448 176.
