These awards recognise the brightest stars, elders, leaders, mentors, employees, sportspeople and youth within the Aboriginal community and the non-Aboriginal resident who has gone the extra mile to build bridges and support across culture.
Forms will be available at Anaiwan Local Aboriginal Lands Council, Tingha Public School, Inverell Public Library, Linking Together Centre, Inverell Shire Council, all Inverell schools, Armajun Aboriginal Health Service, the Inverell Times front office and through the committee Facebook page: Inverell/Tingha Naidoc Committee.
The deadline for nominations is 5pm, Monday, June 20 ahead of the awards ceremony on Friday, July 8 at Campbell Park.
People of all ages and cultures are invited to nominate an Aboriginal person for their outstanding achievement in our communities. Forms can be returned to Armajun, or emailed through to the details included.
The Inverell Times will have a form in the body of the paper shortly. For more information, message though the Facebook page, or contact Kelvin Brown on 0456 877 045, or James Sheather on jsheather@armajun.org.au.
