In what was a seriously competitive match, Lindsey Turner proved she had a better boot on her than her partner Lachie McDonald after booting a 60-metre goal in the third term.
The daughters of Inverell senior’s coach Dick Gleeson, Chloe and Sophie Gleeson provided plenty of drive and skills in the centre.
Among the best were fast-running 14-year-old Elsie Julius and Lauren Carson, who was recognised in the night’s awards for her rock solid marks and kicks in defence.
The ladies showed great skill and attack on the ball and proved there is a case to support a ladies competition in years to come.

The Inverell Saints used the night to raise funds for Jeff Lawler, a member of the Inverell community who is ill.
A bucket collection at the ground raised $453, and the club announced they would donate a further $1000.
