Collectibles Show – The Inverell and District Collectors Club 32nd annual Collectibles Show is on August 27-28, Delungra Multi-Purpose Hall. Open Saturday 9.30am-5pm and Sunday 8am-3pm. Entry is $5 per spectator, children under 12 free. Car boot sale on Saturday, Refreshments inside. Exhibitors $5, swap and sell tables are $15. Eisteddfod Concert is on Wednesday, August 31, 7pm at the Inverell Town Hall. The night features the top performers from this year. Tickets are available at the door on the night. Adults are $10, children $5. The community is welcome.
Men’s Health Night with Preston Campbell and a comedy show are all on the agenda for the Men’s Health Night on September 2. Hosted by the Inverell Prostate Cancer Support Group with support from Hunter New England Health, the night features Dr Phillip Katelaris, Dr Rachel Chalmers, the Heart Foundation’s Penny Milson, Tony Grills, NSW Ambulance and Tania Swan. Tickets are $15 and available the RSM Club, Inverell Newsagency, Inverell Tourism Centre and Gem FM.
The Inverell Theatre Company is presenting Cosi by Loise Nowra over September 15-17 at the Beaulieu Memorial Theatre on Copeton Dam Road. Tickets are $25 ($20 concession) and the gala night on the 15th is $30 and includes pre-performance drinks. The show is for mature audiences (+15) and tickets are available at the Inverell Tourism Centre.
The Inverell Music Appreciation Group is hosting The Magic of the Flute on Sunday, September 18 at 2.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall, Vivian Street. It’s a concert of music for flutes and piano featuring local musicians Wendy Champion, Keiko Robertson and Barbara Wigg with guest flautist Gerard Larkin. Tickets are $25 ($5 child) at the door.
The Inverell Lions Club, along with Peter and Vicki Denovan will be hosting Music in the Park on October 1 for a day of country and country rock music by artists Peter Denovan, Alan East, Peter Cole, Christine Harmon, Rocking Good Country, Sapphire Blue, Little Phoenix and others at Peter and Vicki’s four acres of gardens at ‘Tory Park’, Old Mill Road, Tingha.
