Four times seems more than lucky with this Saturday’s Inverell Multicultural Festival. Born in 2014, the event has drawn a larger crowd each year, with more stallholders taking part to offer the taste of their nation in food, music, culture and information to the district.

Event co-ordiantor Barb Eshman said it has been well-supported by people from many nations who call Inverell home. This year, she said a bus of international uni students from Armidale are planning to make a visit.
Food fare available will come from Thailand, India, Vietnam, Brazil, Tonga, Fiji, Australia, and the United States. Activities include face painting, a jumping castle, a Korean letter and run games guessing names, information provided from local support services and free Bible literature in many languages.
Music will be provided by Fat, Maria & Alan, Danthonia’s American square dance and fiddle music and the Filipino children’s group providing singing and traditional dance called Tinikling. The event begins at 10.30am at Campbell Park and the entire community is invited.
