The Campion family’s Amos-Vale Stud, at at “Brooklington” Pinkett, will mark 50 years of breeding quality seedstock at the stud’s 33rd annual on-property bull sale on August 4, at 1pm
On offer will be 32 rising two-year-old Hereford bulls, which have been paddock reared and are ready to work.
“We are very proud of our long association with this great breed and the success we’ve had with it,” Mark Campion said.
“With careful sire selection and a rigorous culling of our female herd we have been able to breed an elite cow herd of tremendous quality, correctness and milking ability, which has allowed us to put together quality even drafts of sought after Hereford genetics and this year’s offering is proof of that.”
The sale draft was sired by Devon Court Eclipse, Cootharaba Nolan, Thornleigh Jerry, Cootharaba Sabine, Reedy Creek Titanic and Thornleigh Grange. Inspections from 10am on sale day.
“Devon Court Eclipse has excelled as a stud sire at Amos-Vale, with 10 outstanding sons in this year’s catalogue and we are excited and enthusiastic to be offering these young sires,” Mr Campion said.
“Lots 4, 5, 6 are emerging as genuine stud sire prospects, they have the wonderful Hereford cosmetics and are structurally faultless and we are fortunate and proud to have bred young future sires of this calibre.”
The bulls are vet checked and semen tested and will have weights and data available on sale day.
