Of those who took on the early morning challenge, Michael Jorgenson came in with the fastest time, followed by Emma McInnes and Charlie Horwood.
Member Cate Jorgenson said it was a friendly fortnightly event, in which participants are encouraged to keep their own time and focus on personal bests.
“I like to challenge myself and see if I can improve my time,” Jorgenson said.
“It’s good all round fitness.”
With the youngest member just five-years-old, Jorgenson said the club accepted all ages, and that there is a strong focus on safety. She said expensive equipment was not necessary; with a bike, helmet and shoes to run in the only required items.
Anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to contact the club through their Facebook page. Members are happy to give advice.
