Jannette Beavers' passion for horses led her to make a generous donation, unexpected by its recipients. The former Hartley resident donated a 15 hectare property to the RSPCA for the agistment of horses and livestock "I'm very thrilled about this," she said. Ms Beavers now lives in Willara and said she has owned the Hartley property for 20 years and wanted it to be useful. "It can be used as a grazing paddock for horses retired, abandoned or injured horses. Read more: "The land is to be helpful for horses in general," she said. She said seeing horses had always given her great pleasure and she wanted to make sure the property was for them. "I always loved going to see the horses. "Another main reason I've donated the land is because I don't want to see it go to a developer, it's solely for the horses and other livestock if needed," she said. "It might be a big donation but my only wish is it to be used for the horses," she said. The Lithgow Mercury reached out to the RSPCA for comment. A spokesperson said the property was currently being assessed. Subscribing means more than just website access.
