LAST MINUTE INSTRUCTIONS: The guard falls in.
IN FRONT: Representatives from Inverell High and Macintyre High schools led the marchers.

START: At 10.30am the diggers in the motor vehicles led the parade.
VETERANS: Vietnam returned servicemen swung out of Evans Street shortly after 10.30am.

SCHOOLS: The contingent from NSW Fire and Rescue is followed by students from many of the local schools.

VOLUNTEERS: Representatives of the Rural Fire Service marched in the parade.
LIFE SAVERS: Members of the Volunteer Rescue Service were present.
SERVICE: When the march reached the cenotaph the serious part of the ceremony began.
ATTENDANCE: This year about 1000 people attended the service across from the RSM.

GENERATIONS: The young, not so young and the young at heart all attended this year's ceremony.

WREATH LAYING: Pat McMahon vice-president the Inverell RSL Sub Branch and Helen Anstee from Inverell RSL Women's Auxillary lay flowers at the cenotaph.
Wreaths were laid by the Korean Veterans and Vietnam Veterans associations.
Mayor Paul Harmon for Local government, Senator John Williams for the Australian Senate and Peter Kearsey for the NSW government laid flowers.
Doctors and Nurses of World War II, Inverell Service Women, National Servicemen's Association and Indigenous Service Personel.
Representatives from Inverell Police and Fire brigade.
