Two men have been charged over an alleged assault and robbery at Inverell yesterday.

About 2.30pm (Monday 25 May 2015), a 40-year-old man was approached by two men in Campbell Park.
Police have been told the pair assaulted the man by punching and kicking him multiple times.
It’s alleged they then took his wallet before fleeing the scene.
Police were alerted and officers from New England Local Area Command commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, officers arrested two men in the Inverell CBD about 3.30pm.
The men, aged 36 and 47, were taken to Inverell Police Station where they were charged with robbery in company.
Both were refused bail and appeared in Inverell Local Court today where they were both remanded in custody to appear at Moree Local Court on 27 May 2015.
