The friends embraced the challenge, and the ‘Kiss MS Goodbye’ long lunch was born.
Around 120 food-lovers enjoyed the spread, served by volunteers from Macintyre and Inverell High schools. Local musicians Eloise Collins, Peter Caddey, Tom Sanderson, Duncan Clyde Smith, Jemima Mclachlan, and Dan Wade all donated their time and talents to the cause.
Karen’s daughter Melanie has MS and said she was was lucky not to have any of the more debilitating symptoms.
“People can have everything from not being able to walk, memory loss, poor balance issues,” she said. She said that, due to the local climate, there are many locals affected by MS.

“It was an amazing vibe,” she said.
