“I don’t see the oval drying out even if we don’t get more rain,” he said on Monday.
Nevertheless, registrations will go ahead, rain, hail or shine, from 4.30pm to 6pm.
And, if Bob wins the lottery and the oval drys out, the come and try will go ahead.
The Little Athletics season starts after the school holidays and the Come and Try sessions might have to be held in conjunction with the first couple of weeks of the new season.
“We have been washed out and washed out and washed out yet again,’’ Bob said.
“But we’re looking forward to a positive season this year.”
He said the group had quite a few extra coaches after nine people attended a coaching session two weeks ago.
Little Athletics is for children aged from four to 17 with the emphasis on fun and fitness.
Children of all levels of fitness are encouraged to joing and will have the opportunity to learn in a family-friendly environment.
The season runs from October to March and the cost is $100 for the season.
