“We had a really great night. All the brides looked absolutely amazing and the brides themselves had so much fun doing it,” co-organiser Anka McMahon said.
“You should have seen them backstage – they were having a ball.”
The epilogue Sapphire City Festival event showcased local brides from the past four years in their original wedding dresses, with a chance to win $500 in vouchers for local businesses, and just be a bride again.
Kate Marchant won the prize as ultimate bride, with runner-up bride, Kathy Gold. Kelsey Kimmence won the best wedding photo competition.
Three secret judges cast their vote based 50 per cent on the extensive bride nomination forms and 50 per cent on how the brides’ presentation related to their wedding themes, and represented them as a person.
If the brides are willing, Anka said they may plan the night as an annual event.
