Known affectionately to friends and family as Jack, Leslie was born in Coonabarabran on February 12, 1926.
He moved to Inverell with his family at age 13, and has been here ever since.
Leslie has always had a love for the country.
A shearer for most of his life, he also spent time working on the railway in Delungra and Inverell, and was a track driver in Moree.
Also from Coonabarabran, Lorna’s love for Leslie has been long lasting.
The couple have been through thick and thin together, and have been married for around 60 years.
