This isn’t the first time Justin Owen has been recognised for his outstanding customer service.
Before coming to Inverell five months ago, Mr Owen was a nominee in the Glen Innes Business Awards for Customer Service and last year he was nominated for the 2015 Quick Service Restaurants’ General Manager Customer Award for his outstanding work at KFC Glen Innes.
“I pride myself on my positivity,” Mr Owen said.
“I think it creates a great environment for my team and helps me set a standard for how I want to treat our customers. I listen to what my customers need and I do my best to see smiles on faces.”
Customer feedback is an important tool for Mr Owen and the KFC brand alike. KFC Australia has a customer feedback initiative, driven by restaurants across the globe, which aims to give its customers the means to raise any issues they may have, quickly and simply. As a reward, anyone who completes their feedback survey receives a free chips or drink with any subsequent purchases on presentation of their receipt.
KFC Australia also provides its customers with another point of contact with their restaurants around the country with the Open Kitchens program.
Four times a year, KFCs across Australia open their doors to customers for a series of 30 minute tours through their kitchens and procedures. Participants can watch fresh chicken breaded and cooked, check out the fridges, watch burgers being built, ask questions and are rewarded at the end of the tour with a complimentary meal of the Colonel’s Original Recipe Chicken they watched being made from scratch.

KFC Inverell is sponsoring and supporting a number of local groups and clubs in Inverell and surrounds.
The KFC Xpress smartphone app will be introduced in Inverell in the next month.
This app allows KFC customers to place and pay for the order on the app, then skip the queue when they pick up their order in store. Customers can peruse the KFC menu, customise their meal, pay safely online then pickup at the counter or Drive Thru.
By pressing the “I’m here!” button on the app you move to the front of the queue. The KFC Xpress app also features exclusive KFC Express offers such as 24 Kentucky Nuggets for $10 or $1 Chips. Customers will be notified as soon as KFC Inverell is ready to go live.
