The federal government offers around $1.2 million each financial year in grants for arts and cultural projects that encourage community participation and audience engagement from people living in regional and remote communities.
Minister for the Arts Mitch Fifield and Deputy Prime Minister and Member for New England Barnaby Joyce are inviting regional artists, arts workers and organisations in the New England to apply for Festivals Australia funding.
“This program funds festivals, parades and community celebrations in regional and remote areas,” Mr Joyce said.
Applications close on Friday, October 20.
