Gunnedah swimmers will be among over 200 competitors from across the region who will compete at 360 Scully Park swim club’s annual carnival at South and West Tamworth Memorial Swimming Pool on Sunday.

Eighteen clubs will be in Tamworth to compete, with swimmers also coming from Armidale, Bingara, Denman, Glen Innes, Inverell, Kootingal and Manilla.
There will also be swimmers from Moree, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Quirindi, Scone, Tamworth, Wee Waa, Narrabri and Werris Creek. Adults and children will competing in a total of 37 of events, with competitors ranging in age from seven through to 40 years.
This year the stakes are high with event sponsor Inland Technology contributing $2,400 towards the popular 500-metre dash for cash races, which will involve all four strokes.
360 Scully Park coach Simon Andren said: “The kids have been training extremely well and doing everything that has been asked of them,” he said.
