Police have charged six people following public order incidents in Inverell this month.

During the evening of Tuesday, February 13, police from New England Police District responded to a brawl between several people in Waratah Avenue.
Police had to utilise OC spray to separate those involved.
About 8pm on Sunday February 18, police were again required to attend Waratah Avenue after receiving reports of people fighting in the street.
Police were unable to approach the group after bottles were thrown at the officers who responded to the brawl.
Following further inquiries officers from New England Police District today arrested six people who all know each other.

The 65, 56 and 29-year-old men and 49, 31 and 27-year-old women were all charged with affray and offensive behaviour.
The six were granted conditional bail to appear at Inverell Local Court on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
Police will continue high profile and covert patrols of Waratah Avenue.
