The 11th Honey Festival was postponed in October last year due to inclement weather, but it will be back in full force on Saturday, March 10.
A carnival will be held from 11am in the Warialda recreation grounds, with a wide range of stalls and entertainment to explore.
Benny Nelson and Dan Wade will provide live entertainment as visitors try their hand at gumboot throwing and take on the eating competition. A kids zone will keep the little ones entertained, while those looking for a classy time will attend the high tea.
Hosted by the County of Burnett Country Women’s Association, sweet and savoury food will be on offer along with an endless supply of tea and coffee for the high tea. Tickets cost $20, and sessions will run at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm. Booking through the Warialda Visitor Information Centre is recommended.
Festival goers will come together to see local talent on display at 4pm as the Honey, I’ve Got Talent concert kicks off. Entry forms are available at the visitor centre or online at www.warialdansw.com.au.
