Overcast weather cooled the showgrounds for the first full day of activities on Friday.
Cowboy hats and boots were everywhere as locals and visitors alike embraced the agricultural event.
The Kids Corner proved popular with the youngsters. Hunter Lackay took to the acrobatic trampoline like a fish to water, while two-year-old Gabby Gould couldn’t keep the smile from her face as she tried the pony ride.
There was plenty to see in the pavilion, with a display honouring 150 years of Inverell Show presidents. Bob Moore and Trevor Gray were thrilled to show off the work of the Inverell Men’s Shed’s artisans.
Gaby Watkins was speechless when she was announced as the showgirl winner, with Laura King an equally proud runner-up.
The rodeo drew an enthusiastic audience as usual, cheering on each cowboy during their eight seconds of fame.
