Inverell’s General Merchant was abuzz as 24 ladies from all different backgrounds gathered together.
“Usually we do a different theme each meet. We’ve done Greek, Chinese, Italian and so many others,” publicity officer Barbara Douglass said.
A few members invited their daughters and even granddaughters to this month’s luncheon in recognition of International Women’s Day.
Ms Douglass said the ladies meet to raise money for the VIEW Club’s Learning for Life appeal.
“It was interesting to chat about how things have changed for women throughout the years,” she said.
The VIEW Club supports two students through their Learning for Life program, assisting financially through high school and university if they so choose.
