Born on August 16, 1966, she was the much loved daughter of Allan (deceased) and Sandra Walker, and sister to Kerrie and Robert.
Kayleen is survived by her four children Kirstyn and Tayla, and Ashly and Britony- all living at the Gold Coast.
Born in Sydney, Kayleen grew up in Inverell where she attended Inverell Public and Macintyre High School.
While at school she was the East Bowling Club Sapphire Princess in the Sapphire City Festival.
Leaving school, Kayleen worked at The Premier Store in Inverell. She also lived and worked in Moree and the Gold Coast.
A lover of sport of any kind, she played both at school and after. As a coached of the girls soccer team and tried never miss a Sunday at Little Nippers.
Loved to party, travel overseas and at home in Australia. Kayleen was a great hostess and loved people; she helped wherever she could.
Kayleen did a lot of courses for her work, she attended the Sunshine Coast University in QLD.
She has a graduate diploma in health promotion, and ha many other certificates in massage reiki kinesiology to name a few.
Kayleen married twice, Shane Murphy of Moree and Peter Cook, of the Gold Coast. Kayleen’s nieces and nephews loved their vibrant aunt who always had time for them when she visited or they visited her.
Kayleen’s beautiful smile will be sadly missed as it lit up a room when she entered. How could you be angry or sad when she gave our her cheeky smile you just had to smile back.
There will be a celebration of Kayleen’s life on Wednesday, April 11 at East Bowling Club.
