Whether you need a last minute Mother’s Day gift, or just want to show some support to your favourite businesses, Saturday will be the perfect opportunity.
One lucky shopper who makes a purchase down Otho Street between 9am to 12.30pm will win a $500 voucher.
Chamber president Josh McPhee said every shopper who makes a transaction down Otho Street on Saturday morning will go into the draw.
“With street works complete, Saturday is the perfect opportunity for businesses to celebrate the makeover of their street,” he said.
Talented buskers are invited down to created a vibrant atmosphere on Saturday morning.
Mr McPhee said depending on the number of buskers, they’ll be spread out down Otho Street.
“Businesses also have a chance to win some prizes. There is a $300 first and $200 second for the business who runs the best event.
“Basically they can do anything that will drive people in store to get their sales up. The winner of the shopping prize will be announced later at the Grafton to Inverell,” he said.
With Otho Street celebrations, the multicultural festival and Grafton to Inverell happening on Saturday, locals will have plenty to look forward to this weekend.
