Junior Highlanders Benny Wineti, Brady Mather and Seb Pianko have been named in NSW country rep sides for their respective age groups.
After being selected for Central North representative rugby union, the boys all played in gala days.
Mather, playing in the open boys, was selected in the NSW country squad after his Central North side placed second at the championships a couple of weeks ago.
Playing outside centre, Mather looks forward to participating in a camp where the squad of 30 will be cut to 23 for the City V Country game.
“Two NSW teams will be picked for that and then we’ll play in an Australian schools championships after that.”
Wineti played for Central North in the 14s side, and although the team didn’t secure a win, his performance got him selected for Country as a prop.
Because of the selection Wineti will attend a three-day training camp in Bathurst, play in Sydney on July 8 and then to Canberra on July 27 to play the Brumbies, before the City V Country match.
Meanwhile, Pianko secured a place in the 16s Country Side after a successful weekend in Bathurst.
