To celebrate the teams of volunteers who have put their time and care into the project and all the people who have donated items and patronage to make it happen, the community was invited to a morning tea.
There were delicious cakes, scones, slices, sausage rolls, sandwiches and more on the menu to show a big sign of gratitude to all who have continued to support them.
The cool weather was perfect for a cuppa and a catch up out the front of the store. A few who went along even popped in to see what bargains they could find.
National Volunteer Week is held over May 21-27, as the annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.
So if you know a local volunteer, show them some appreciation this week!
