MCLEAN CARE AUXILIARY
ANNUAL WINTER FASHION PARADE: 2PM at Inverell Club Evans Street. McLean Care Auxiliary invites you to a fashion parade to be held at 2PM Saturday, May 26 at the Inverell Club, Evans Street. Fiona Fashions will present the latest winter collection of garments and accessories. Afternoon tea will be served and a raffle and lucky door prize will be available. Entry to the parade is $10. Tickets available at Fiona Fashions, or will be available at the door on the day. So gather some friends and come and enjoy an afternoon of fun and fashion. DANCE FUNDRAISER FOR BREAST CANCER: 6:30PM at Elsmore Memorial Hall. The Elsmore Memorial Hall will host a dance to raise funds for the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group. The dance starts at 6.30PM. The music will be some old-time music, rock & roll and hoedown music. It will be played by Peter and Vicki Denovon with Christine Harmon, who are all donating their time for the cause. Please come along to help raise funds and to enjoy the music and dancing.

NAIDOC DAY: 9:30AM at Delungra Public School. An exciting NAIDOC event held at the Delungra Public School with lots of educultural events available for everyone to enjoy. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Inverell Hospital Kiosk. The Inverell Hospital Auxillary is in need of more volunteers to assist in the running of the hospital kiosk. The kiosk has been operating for many years, all money raised goes to the purchase of hospital equipment. If you are able to assist please call at the kiosk, which is situated to the right inside the entrance foyer of the hospital and collect a volunteer form to fill out. THE INVERELL COMMUNITY MEN’S SHED
THE MEN’S SHED: 9AM at The Men’s Shed, the rear of the Inverell Showgrounds in the north east corner. The Inverell Community Men’s Shed is a great place for men who have or may be nearing retirement. The whole focus is on maintaining the well-being of men while allowing them to participate in activities relating to working on projects for the citizens of Inverell and surrounding district. Even if you don’t feel you have the skills required, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you can actually do, so why not come down and have a look. Not only the working side but the social aspect of sitting down for a cuppa and a chat with others is another way that the health of men can be improved dramatically. The Men’s Shed is open from 9AM until noon every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (public holidays excepted).

The Sisters In Stitches Craft group meets at Inverell Baptist Church on Wade Street each Thursday morning from 9.30AM to noon. The Quilt Group meets each first, third and fifth Monday of the month from 9.30AM to 3PM. We’re into needlework of all sorts, patchwork and quilting, knitting, crochet and whatever new crafts feed the imagination. MEALS ON WHEELS: Meals on Wheels delivers healthy meals to clients’ homes to not only ensure their nutritional needs are being met, but to provide regular social contact and a friendly check to see all is well. This assists clients in being able to continue living independently at home, provides social support and peace of mind for families. Organising meals is easy and our staff will assist you to complete the process. Meals on Wheels provide: Hot meals delivered Monday to Friday between 11.15AM and 12.30PM; Flexible daily or weekly deliveries; Frozen meals available for public holidays, weekends and out of town clients;Social interaction and client well being checks; Deliveries by friendly, local volunteers.
