Eighteen young ladies wore their magnificient gowns and stepped out into society on Friday night. The evening was exquisite, and the young men and women showed poise and grace, proving that Debutante balls are just as relevant as ever.

The 2018 Catholic Debutante Ball, organised by Anthony Michael, was an event filled with tradition and a social highlight of the year.
Inverell's Tourism and Marketing manager Peter Caddey introduced the young couples after an opening prayer by Father Roel Llave.
Jeanette Rennie was the matron of the ball, who greeted the young couples:

The young flower girls, who performed their task beautifully, were Ivana Lane and Kira Duff.
The Most Reverend Michael Kennedy, Bishop of the Diocese of Armidale, performed the official opening of the ball, after the young people danced the El-Paso with choreography by Tiffany Moir.
Official guests were Inverell Mayor Paul Harmon and Anna Harmon, and Inverell Senator John ‘Wacka’ Williams and Nancy Williams.
