Children are invited down on Friday, June 15 from 3.30pm to meet the Susie and enjoy a fun afternoon.
Promoting her book ‘Reg the Rooster’, Susie is excited to share it and ‘The Kimberley Camp Dog’.
Susie describes Reg the Rooster as “a tiny ant book about telling the time”. Many who struggle to understand traditional clock faces have embraced the book.
“In our digital world we forget that clocks in public places are quite a test for many. I thought this would be a great way to get pre-school to year ones into telling the time and then to my amazement the secondary schools grabbed it too!” she said.
The Kimberley Camp Dog is based off Jilla, the dog who left a mark on Susie with her frequent flyer status.
“Each year she flies from the Kimberley in WA to Melbourne on a Qantas jet, then her family drives along the Princes Highway to Eden for their summer holiday with the grandparents,” she said.
"This intrigued me, a dog who was equally at home in red desert country in an Aboriginal community, and happy living in the lush environment of a south coast seaside town.”
If there is time, she will read one of the stories from ‘How to Wash Your Undies’.
“They are pretty funny and great favourites with all ages,” Susie said.
Meanwhile the next picture book is now at the printer, along with a spy novel for adults ready to go as well.
