Applications for round two of the Regional Cultural Fund will open on Sunday, July 1. Interested locals are encouraged to prepare to apply by speaking to staff from the Cultural Infrastructure Program Management Office (CIPMO) about the next round.
A Cultural Fund information session will be held at the Inverell Art Gallery on Evans Street on Tuesday, June 26 from 2pm – 3pm.
At the sessions the team will discuss project eligibility, required documentation, assessment criteria and the application process.
The Regional Cultural Fund was created to ensure regional NSW receives its fair share of arts and cultural infrastructure.
The Fund will invest $100 million over four years to drive growth in arts, screen, cultural and heritage infrastructure for the social, cultural and economic benefit of communities in regional NSW.
The Regional Cultural Fund will support investment in new and upgraded arts and cultural infrastructure, to support the provision of operational funding and to address the significant disparity in the quality and quantity of arts and cultural resources between regional and metropolitan areas.
Round two will offer applicants a share in $47 million in funding, including $5 million specifically for regional public library infrastructure projects, and support for the creation and installation of artist-led public art.
The application process has also been streamlined to be easier to complete.
Round two invites applications from two funding categories:
- Projects with an estimated total cost of up to $250,000
- Projects with an estimated total cost of more than $250,000
Applications for round two close at 12pm on Friday, September 21.
