The 13 minister-appointed roles will be recruited for the Northern Tablelands, North West, South East, Western, Central Tablelands, Hunter and Murray Local Land Services regions.
Local Land Services state chair Richard Bull said joining the LLS board is an excellent opportunity to make a difference to land management in NSW.
“We’re here to make a difference, and a big part of that is drawing on the experience and talent of our board members,” Mr Bull said.
“Our boards share our vision to see resilient communities in productive, healthy landscapes.”
Mr Bull said the new staggered approach to board recruitment would mean local boards remain fresh and relevant with a rolling membership, and would reduce the risk of losing valuable skills and knowledge from the agency.
“We work with board members to make sure we’re connected to our customers in local communities, industries and businesses,” he said.
Local Land Services is on the ground, delivering agricultural production advice, biosecurity, natural resource management, emergency management, sustainable land management and soil conservation services.
Mr Bull said the Local Land Services hoped to attract candidates with a commitment to high ethical standards and teamwork and who bring unique experiences and knowledge to the Local Boards.
“We want a diverse and dynamic board that represents NSW communities,” he said.
A recruitment package is available on Local Land Services website and applications close on Thursday, October 4.
