The street parade to commemorate the Centenary of Armistice Day on Sunday, November 11, was held to honour more than 1,200 men and women from the Inverell district who served during World War One.
The town also received the Governor’s Carmichael Shield for being the town with the most number of volunteers per head of population.
Only one in five returned.
Their memory was honoured with hand-made poppies and a lovely display at Varley Oval.
Other highlights included a flyover, music and a performance at Inverell Town Hall.
