Inverell and surrounding communities are invited to two community information sessions next Tuesday and Wednesday, February 26-27.
Held at the Inverell Town Hall annex from 3-6pm Tuesday and 8.30-11.30am Wednesday, the sessions are a chance to view the hospital plans, see the progress of the construction and ask questions about the redevelopment.
Construction officially began on the $30 million stage one of the project in April 2018.
The redevelopment includes the construction of a new hospital building at the rear of the existing hospital, and the refurbishment of parts of the existing hospital for ambulatory care and community health.
The refurbishment will also allow services to move from the Community Health building to the main hospital building. The change intends to improve interaction between acute and community health services.
Anyone who is unable to attend the sessions can still keep up with the redevelopment through the project information board in the hospital main entry area, or by visiting the Hunter New England Health website.
