The donation was made by the Inverell Shire Council as part of the Australian Government's Drought Communities Program.
With continuing dry conditions on the land and recent fires in the area, organisers are hoping the free entry will encourage everyone to come along and enjoy the great entertainment on offer.
"The Inverell Show encourages community involvement to showcase what Inverell and its district has to offer," said President Jodie Burtenshaw.
"Come and watch the woodchop, whip cracking and horse riding events or browse the pavilion full of arts, crafts and homemade cooking
"There are always plenty of animals to view whether its birds, poultry, sheep or cattle. As the sun sets enjoy the fireworks, rodeo, demolition derby or recapture your youth down sideshow alley."
Since 1868, for 150 years, the Inverell Show Society has hosted the local show. The first show was held on the banks of the Macintyre River behind what is now Coles.
In 1873 it was moved to Kamilaroi Park which is now a sporting oval.
The current location, where the show has been since 1914, is the Inverell Showground on the Tingha Road on the edge of town.
There will be an extensive range of horse events on during the show from showjumping to harness classes.
The popular Pet Show will be held on Saturday as will the Demolition Derby and the pavilions will be open from Thursday. The show will run from March 1 to 3.
