A total of 12 under 10s and under 12s teams from St Philomena's School, Moree Public School, Warialda Public School and Bingara Central School participated in the annual gala day on Thursday, March 21.
This is the first time Bingara has joined tournament.
"They're a new school in the rugby fraternity," North West development manager for NSW Waratahs Rugby Garry Walsh said.
"We want to foster that."
The day was just a hit-out for the under 10s, while the under 12s sides were playing for the chance to progress to the regional final in Tamworth and possibly the state championships in Sydney.

"We have these around the region, in Coonabarabran, Gunnedah, Moree and Tamworth," Walsh said.
"The winners of these days will converge in Tamworth for the regional final. The winner of that then goes to Sydney to play in the state championships, with the chance to play before the Waratahs."
Teams played each other once, with the winner determined via points.
