A man wanted for theft was stopped by police on Old Bundarra Road around 8pm on Friday evening.

Upon being pulled over the man was allegedly search and officers found a small amount of cannabis located on him.
Police charged the 27-year-old man with stealing, possess prohibited drugs, hinder police, assault police occasioning actual bodily harm and resist arrest.
Officers will allege the male stole two bluetooth speakers from a retail store in Inverell.
They will also allege then man attempted to dispose of the cannabis and resisted arrest by head butting an officer multiple times.
Police say the officer suffered bruising to his forehead and abrasions to his cheek and chin.
The man, already on bail at the time of the incident, he was refused bail and attended Inverell Bail Court on Saturday, May 4.
