Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall took to Facebook over the weekend to share some aerial images of the project.
He was pleased to inform followers that construction was progressing "very well".
"Stage one is scheduled to be completed in October next year, allowing stage two to proceed late next year," he wrote.
The first stage of the redevelopment sees an expansion of the outdated hospital and stage two will involve the refurbishment and repurposing of the existing hospital building.
"I love these photos, as they demonstrate the scale of the project and how much larger the new hospital will be than the old," he said.
At least 12 local businesses have been involved in the project, from plumbers and electricians to sign makers and traffic control.
Updates on the hospital redevelopment are available on the Hunter New England Health website.
