Earlier this year, businesses were approached to create one or more vouchers for the booklet to be printed and used by people for 12 months.
The initiative stemmed from three local business owners who wanted to boost the economy and give back to community members.
From accommodation and tourism, lifestyle, trades, food, entertainment and everything in between, the book offers a range of vouchers to use.
Compiled by Inverell Events Inc with local business owners and operators, profits made from the value book will be donated to worthy local causes.
Initial funds raised will support Inverell's Sapphire Rock 'N' Roll Festival from August 30 to September 1.
The faces behind Inverell Events Inc, Kim Kelleher, Jane Brookman and Steve Johnson, want to make a positive difference with this initiative.
"In these extraordinary times of unrelenting drought, we have watched our community, businesses and families adapt to meet these challenges. We wanted to help our local economy survive and thrive," they said.
Shoppers can purchase the books for $30 each at The Brew Shed, Inverell Terrace Motor Lodge or Blair Athol Estate.
Community groups and businesses are also able to purchase, in blocks of 10, the books at half price and onsell them at the full recommended retail price.
"Community groups, such as Girl Guides or whoever is interested, can get involved and keep profits they make for themselves as a fundraiser."
Not only does the value book offer to purchasers an opportunity to save and get a great bargain, but also try new experiences and discover local services they may not have know about previously.
The first page offers over $200 worth of savings, which certainly covers the $30 cost of the booklet.
"By buying this value book, with genuine bargains, discounts and experiences offered by participating businesses, we know that you will get a great deal and you will also be supporting the drought-affected community of Inverell and district," the trio said.
