The December 6 and 7 festival also features Sydney Britpop revivalists DMA's, Angus Stone's solo project Dope Lemon, indie artist Meg Mac, alt-country queen Kasey Chambers, indie songstress Julia Jacklin and American alternative band The Lemonheads.
The charismatic Gallagher last toured Australia in early 2018 in support of his first solo album and comeback hit As You Were. On September 20 the English rocker will release his second album Why Me? Why Not? which features the singles Shockwave, The River, One Of Us and Once.
Gallagher's estranged brother and former Oasis bandmate, Noel, is touring Australia in November supporting U2.
WELCOME FRIEND
Anyone that's seen Toy Story 4 lately would instantly recognise the distinctly warm voice of American singer-songwriter Randy Newman on the children's series' lead track, You've Got A Friend In Me. For the first time in a decade the 75-year-old Rock'n'roll Hall of Famer is returning this summer to tour his most recent album 2017's Dark Matter.
Newman plays the Riverside Theatre, Perth (January 30), Hamer Hall, Melbourne (February 2), State Theatre, Sydney (February 4) and QPAC Concert Hall, Brisbane (February 7).
NEW COLOUR
The music of country luminary Hank Williams is getting revived in a star-studded tribute album by multi-instrumentalist Lucky Oceans.
Purple Sky features performances from Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers, Don Walker, Linda & Vika Bull, Tex Perkins, Jeff Lang and Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges of Williams classics like Alone and Forsaken, Angel Of Death and Ramblin' Man. Purple Sky is out on September 27.

US blues-rock legends George Thorogood & The Destroyers (of Bad to the Bone fame) will return to Australia next year for the first time since 2011 to play shows in Melbourne (January 20) and Sydney (January 22).
