Inverell police are calling for information following the disappearance of a black-coloured headstone from a gravesite at the the Bundarra Cemetery in Dawkins Street.

The removal of the headstone has caused major distress to the deceased's family members and police wish to speak to anyone with knowledge of the theft.
Police believe the headstone may have been stolen between September 2 and October 13. If you witnessed anything, please contact the Inverell Police Station.
Meanwhile, additional police resources were called to a brawl in the Stirling Street and Cunningham Place area of Inverell on October 12.
Between 8pm and 12am the next morning officers responded to people fighting and were required to separate numerous persons and disperse a large crowd.
Additional police resources were recalled to duty to achieve this. Two Inverell males, aged 49 and 58 have been arrested as a result.
The 58-year-old was charged with affray while the 49-year-old after it was alleged he armed himself with a large stick, was charged with armed with intent to commit a serious indictable offence and affray.
Both have been bailed to appear before Inverell local Court on October 31, 2019.
