John Bailey though kept the tourists at bay though with a great wicket, as did Max McLennan and Georgie Leonard.
Connor was a great sport to tear up his existing contract for a one match cash deal with RSM. RSM then displayed some fast-paced batting from John Bailey and Maisie Eastwood, who also handed back the captaincy after a great effort last week.
George Rattray took one for three off two overs including a caught and bowled, then Sam Burns also took a wicket for C&F.
Myles Doman as always provided some inspirational saves in the field. The match ball went to John Bailey.
Meanwhile, it was a batter's wicket on Bert Lowrey Oval where Staggy's Henry Ballinger, Evan Burgess and Damon Martin all hit huge sixes on the on side against Square and Compass.
Oliver Sutton retired unbeaten after a fine innings at the crease. S&C's bowlers tried to keep the runs at bay with Howie Eastwood taking one wicket and Dan Bell managing two wickets in one over.
Noah Grob was the most economical in terms of runs. In reply, Howie Eastwood took the ball by the scruff of the neck and smashed 49 runs in 16 deliveries including two sixes.
Dan Bell went down fighting and bleeding after a valiant dive to avoid being run out. Colby Walker retired after a great first innings to go back in and be not out in his second.
Staggy's bowlers claimed a number of scalps including wickets for Zac Riley, Evan Burgess (1 for 0 off two overs), Josh Cathie and a great ball from Oliver Sutton that was caught at cover by Henry Ballinger.
This all combined to take a well earned win for Staggy. Whilst the match ball went to Damon Martin for his wicket and fantastic batting, there were a number of worthy recipients including Colby, Dan and Oliver.
If only we used four balls per match.
Next week sees the semi finals played with Square & Compass versus RSM and the mighty Staggy Creek taking on Campbell & Freebairn.
Thank you to Scott Leonard, Monica Bailey and David Bell for their efforts in coordinating the matches this week. It is much appreciated by all.
