Two long standing members of the Inverell RSL Auxiliary, Joan Hiscox and Joan Ticehurst, have been recognised for more than 50 years' service to the Inverell RSL Sub Branch, Auxiliary and for veterans in the Inverell and surrounding district.

Mrs Hiscox, whose husband, David was a WWII veteran, joined the auxiliary in 1965 and has held many positions in the auxiliary over her 55 years of membership. Mrs Hiscox was awarded life membership in 1981 for her outstanding service.
Mrs Ticehurst, whose husband, Cyril was also a WWII veteran, joined the auxiliary in 1967 and has also held many positions in the auxiliary. Mrs Ticehurst was also awarded life membership in 2008.
Both ladies are integral members of the auxiliary and held in very high esteem by all auxiliary and sub branch members and also in the Inverell and district community.
