Then the Macinyre Young Writers' Committee in Goondiwindi can help.
The Committee is conducting a workshop for those who have already begun investigating their creative talents. But, if there's enough beginner writers who show interest they will organise another workshop just for them.
"The workshop will be a great benefit for those who loves word and want to tell a story," Committee member Heather Haley-Scanlan said.
USQ lecturer Dr Kate Cantrell will conduct the workshop.
It will be held at the Goondiwindi State Primary School library on Sunday February 28.
"Kate has been the judge of our Open Writing competition for a number of years now. She is passionate about emerging writers and her in-depth comments on writers' entries have been supportive, constructive and incredibly beneficial," she said.
If you are interested in either the emerging writer workshop or a beginner's course contact Heather on 0427751144.
And if you are a school-age writer begin writing now. (The competition is limited to the Goondiwindi region)
