POLICE are on the lookout for a man who reportedly bought food and drinks for children before touching two girls inappropriately and chasing them down the street in Moree.

A group of young people wereat a park on Balo Street, Moree, when they were approached by a stranger and offered food and drinks about 4pm on Saturday, May 8.
Officers have been told that after the man bought food and drinks, a game of 'tip' was started with the children.
It's been reported to police that two girls were inappropriately touched by the man who then chased them south toward Adelaide Street.
Another adult intervened and chased the man on foot; who fled the scene in a white flatbed truck, which was loaded, south on Frome Street toward the Newell Highway.
New England Police District officers were notified a short time later and an investigation was started.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with a man who may be able to help.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 50s with a slim build, olive complexion and grey hair.
He was wearing a cowboy hat, white shirt, grey shorts and thongs at the time.
Anyone who has information or dashcam footage from the area is urged to contact New England police or Crime Stoppers.
