With the Bureau of Meteorology predicting earlier in the week that heavy rain events could cause major flooding similar to those seen earlier in the year, locals weren't taking any chances.
Emergency services were prepared, filling sandbags and mapping danger areas readying for a "worst case scenario" river height of 4.7m. Fire and Rescue swift-water technicians were also brought in from Sydney to be on standby.

Thankfully though, the impact has only been small.
"They forecast 80mm of rain for overnight and we only got 5mm - after 30mm earlier in the week - so there's a slight rise in the river but nothing major," deputy mayor, Anthony Michael said.
BOM reporting showed the Macintyre River at Middle Creek in Inverell was sitting at 1.35m and falling at 11.15am this morning.
The Inverell SES unit posted, "A big thank you to everyone in the community who has been so encouraging and those who took time since March to address some of their drainage and maintenance issues.
"We have been blessed with lower than anticipated rains at this point in time. The river certainly looks the healthiest it has in a very long time."
